Good questions

Is my money safe?

Yes. When your recipient redeems, securities are purchased and held at Alpaca Securities LLC, a registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA/SIPC. SIPC protects securities up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for cash claims). Stockup USA never holds your funds as a custodian.

Are there fees?

No fees for the sender. You pay the gift amount only. The recipient pays no commission to buy stock through Alpaca. Standard regulatory fees and normal brokerage fees apply if they later sell.

How does redemption work?

Recipient gets a secure link, creates or connects an Alpaca brokerage account (18+ or custodial with parent), chooses any US stock or ETF, and we execute a market buy for the full gift amount in fractional shares. Whole process takes under 3 minutes.

What if they don't want a specific stock?

They don't have to choose upfront. The gift is flexible cash value for stocks. They can pick later, or choose a diversified ETF like SPY or VOO.
